Bass Guitar Magazine's review of my G3 Four Active is now out in the March issue (no 52). I was absolutely delighted to make the front cover too!

The review is of a retro-inspired G3 that I built last summer. The bass is a modified G3 Four Active, with an extra pickup coil to give a full humbucker at the bridge. The four-way pickup switching actually came in for some praise from reviewer Nick Wells who commented "It's almost like you are switching through preset EQ settings on an amplifier rather than basic pickup switching. It really is that effective".

Also pleasing was how comfortable Nick seemed to find the bass:
"It may look radical in its design but the G3 feels perfectly natural to play"
and "beyond the chrome-plated horns and carbon fibre scratchplate is a bass that feels reassuringly familiar".
