"When I first saw a Gus bass guitar, I decided to get one myself. The incredible look of this bass makes it an eyecatcher on stage! But the G3 doesn’t only look good, it’s also well balanced, light weight and offers a great tone!"

Konrad Schroeder
A bass player since the age of 15, Konrad's motive for taking up the instrument is refreshingly honest: A drummer friend of his was putting together a band and needed a bass player, although Konrad had no idea what a bass was at that point, his friend explained that the sound would "drive the girls crazy". This was all that needed to be said and Konrad had soon saved up enough money for his first instrument!

Although early influences on his playing were Jazz Rock based, Konrad began to develop a much broader taste for music, with one of his favourite bands of the time being The Sweet. He explains, "One of the first concerts I ever went to was The Sweet live in Hamburg, they had many hits and their stage clothes were really crazy and glamorous. I remember being very impressed with the sound of Steve Priest’s Bass!" Little did he know at the time that years later his band BBR would be supporting The Sweet as they toured northern Germany!

Konrad performs regularly with BBR and the band are very much a part of the summer festival scene in Germany, playing to massive crowds at fantastic venues like the Isle of Fehmarn, made famous by Hendrix towards the end of his career.
